ArcheryNow Terms of Service

Last updated and effective: August 29, 2026

Document version: 2026-08-29-club-service-access-v1

Language: This English translation is provided for convenience. If it conflicts with the Japanese Terms, the Japanese text prevails for governing law and jurisdiction (Japan; Yokohama District Court, Hiratsuka Branch, subject to mandatory consumer law).

By using ArcheryNow (the “App”), you agree to these Terms. The Privacy Policy explains data handling. These implementation-aligned Terms are general information, not legal advice.

1. Service scope

The App provides local-first archery scorekeeping, statistics, visualization, export and practice reference features. It may also provide hosted Club, Team, invitation, sharing, coach, private-media and Selection Event features to eligible Accounts. Feature availability may depend on platform, environment, cohort, role, resource authorization, plan, quota and operational policy.

We may change, suspend or discontinue all or part of the App, subject to applicable law. Experimental or Beta features may be incomplete, capacity-limited or withdrawn.

2. Personal use and Accounts

Core personal scorekeeping does not require a hosted Club Account. Hosted Club features do. You must provide accurate setup information, use only your own approved sign-in method, protect your device and session, and promptly sign out or report suspected unauthorized access.

Club Accounts may use Supabase Auth with Apple or Google sign-in. There is no general 18-or-older confirmation for Club Account setup. If applicable law requires parental or guardian authorization, a minimum age, or another safeguard for a particular user, region or feature, that requirement applies and access may be limited until it is satisfied. Do not create an Account for another person or bypass an applicable age or guardian requirement.

3. Clubs, roles, invitations and sharing

A Club is the tenant, authorization and commercial boundary; a Team is a group within a Club. Owners, administrators, coaches, billing managers and members have different permissions. A commercial entitlement never replaces role and resource authorization.

You may issue or accept invitations only for a legitimate Club purpose and the intended recipient. Do not publish private invitation credentials or use another person's credential. Joining a Club does not share historical personal records. A record is shared only when its owner expressly selects it and an audience. The owner can revoke a publication, subject to limited audit, integrity, safety and legal retention.

Owners and authorized managers are responsible for membership, roles, Teams, event access, retention choices and lawful use of Club data. A Club deletion currently has a seven-day scheduled recovery window before cleanup.

4. User content and acceptable conduct

“User content” includes Club/Team/display names, avatars and icons, structured shared score records, Selection Event submissions and other information you provide. You retain your rights in your content and grant us a limited, non-exclusive license to host, copy, transform, display and process it only as needed to operate, secure, moderate, back up, export and improve the App, comply with law and enforce these Terms.

You must not:

  • violate law, public order, privacy, intellectual-property or other rights;
  • harass, threaten, promote hate or abuse, impersonate, exploit or expose another person;
  • submit sexual content, violent threats, fraud, spam, malware or deceptive records;
  • share another person's score, image, identifier or private information without an appropriate basis;
  • manipulate Selection Event evidence, impersonate an organizer/reviewer, or misrepresent a result as official;
  • bypass roles, quotas, blocks, feature flags, security controls or restricted state;
  • probe, disrupt, overload or gain unauthorized access to the App or hosted service; or
  • resell or commercially exploit App or Club data without permission.

5. Reports, blocks and moderation

The App may provide fixed-category reporting and Account blocking. Reports must be made in good faith. We may review, preserve and investigate safety evidence; restrict content, invitations, sharing, visibility or access; require corrective action; or suspend or terminate an Account or Club when reasonably necessary for safety, security, legal compliance or enforcement. We do not promise a particular outcome or response time.

Blocking limits supported interactions between Accounts but cannot guarantee that people will never encounter each other outside the App or through another Account or Club. Urgent danger should be reported to appropriate local emergency or law-enforcement services, not a public GitHub Issue.

6. Selection Events

Selection Events are structured Club tools, not certification by ArcheryNow or a governing federation. Organizers are responsible for eligibility, rules, reviewer assignments, deadlines, retention and communication. Participants are responsible for submitting accurate, authorized records. App calculations, reviews, leaderboards and decision rows may contain errors and should not be the sole basis for safety-critical, employment, medical or legally significant decisions.

7. Free Club Beta (v1.5.0)

The v1.5.0 Club feature is offered as a free, time-bound Beta to eligible authenticated Accounts under a server-issued Pilot grant. It may include roster, Team, Event, limited Leaderboard, basic coach-review and audit functions with account, member, coach, Team or other limits. At most one Pilot Club is available per Account. Eligibility is determined by the server contract and any applicable legal safeguards, not merely by installing or retaining version 1.5.0.

  • The Pilot is free for its announced period.
  • Joining the Pilot does not create a paid Club subscription, collect a Club payment, enroll you in a trial that converts to paid, or authorize automatic billing at the end.
  • Pilot dates, limits and availability may be extended, reduced, paused or ended based on safety, capacity, release readiness and notice requirements.
  • A Club that does not expressly purchase a later paid offering may become restricted rather than being deleted. New creation, expansion, advanced administration, analytics or Event mutations may stop, while authorized reads and safety operations such as export, unsharing, leaving, ownership transfer, purchase restore and Account deletion are intended to remain available subject to security and resource authorization.
  • Over-limit data is not automatically deleted merely because a limit or Pilot period ends; expansion may instead be blocked.

8. Personal Pro and future paid Club plans

Personal Pro is separate from Club access. Personal Pro purchases use the applicable App Store and may use RevenueCat to determine personal entitlements. A Personal Pro purchase does not create, pay for or guarantee a Club plan.

Any paid Club offering after the Beta requires a separate, express purchase by the Club owner or authorized billing manager after price, period, renewal and plan terms are displayed by the applicable store or provider. RevenueCat may be used for the later paid Club entitlement boundary only after that purchase path is enabled. Beta participation alone never authorizes RevenueCat, Apple or another provider to start a Club charge.

For an enabled purchase, prices, taxes, renewal, cancellation and refunds follow the store display and applicable store terms. Apple purchases are subject to the Apple Media Services Terms; manage subscriptions through the store and request refunds through Report a Problem where applicable.

9. Coach and AI information

Coach, statistics and AI outputs are reference information based on recorded data. They are not medical advice, diagnosis, treatment, guaranteed performance guidance or a substitute for a certified coach. On supported devices, some AI processing may occur on-device under platform terms.

10. Intellectual property

The App, software, designs and documentation belong to us or our licensors. Except as allowed by law or an applicable open-source license, you may not copy, reverse engineer, distribute or create derivative services from protected materials. Your limited user-content license ends when the relevant content is deleted, except for retained safety, audit, backup, integrity and legal records described in the Privacy Policy.

11. Suspension, termination and deletion

You may stop using the App, leave a Club, revoke supported shares and request Account deletion through available controls. Deletion can require resolving ownership, billing-management, active-event or integrity blockers first. Local/iCloud/Google Drive data is separate and remains under your control.

We may restrict or suspend access for violations, threats, fraud, security incidents, legal requirements or operational risk. When a paid or Pilot entitlement ends without misconduct, we intend to preserve safety operations as described above; this does not require us to retain unsafe content or grant access otherwise prohibited by role, block or resource authorization.

12. Disclaimers and liability

The App is provided “as is” and “as available.” To the extent permitted by law, we do not guarantee uninterrupted availability, error-free calculations, preservation of every record, fitness for a particular purpose or acceptance of App data by a Club, organizer or federation. Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot legally be excluded, including liability for willful misconduct or gross negligence where applicable. Mandatory consumer rights remain unaffected.

13. Governing law and jurisdiction

These Terms are governed by the laws of Japan. The Yokohama District Court, Hiratsuka Branch is the agreed exclusive court of first instance, except where mandatory consumer law permits another competent court.

14. Changes

We may update these Terms. The effective date and document version appear above. We will try to give appropriate notice of material changes through the App, invitation notice, store notes or the ArcheryNow legal site on kitokito.app. Where applicable law requires separate consent, continued use alone will not replace that requirement.

15. Contact

There is no public support or moderation email address. Use GitHub Issues or the applicable App Store developer support route. Do not post credentials, private invitations or sensitive Club content in a public Issue.
