TrashNow Privacy Policy

TrashNow (Japanese name: ゴミなう, the “App”) respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains what information the App handles and how it is used or shared.

1. Scope

This policy applies to data handling related to the App for iOS and Android. Paid purchases in the App are covered separately by the paid plan Terms of Service.

2. Information we collect and use

2.1 Data stored locally in the App

The App stores the following data only on your device. It is not sent to our own servers.

  • Collection schedules and rules: Collection-day settings for each garbage type, weekday rules, and irregular collection settings
  • Exceptions: Holiday settings, temporary suspension, and changes for specific dates
  • Notification settings: Reminder on/off settings, notification times, and related settings
  • Widget data: Summary data generated and stored for home screen widgets

This data can be deleted by using the data reset function in the App. Deleted data cannot be restored.

2.2 Data handled through third-party services

The App uses the following third-party services. Please also review each provider's privacy policy.

#### (1) Purchases and subscriptions (RevenueCat / Apple / Google)

  • Purpose: Processing purchases for the paid plan, checking purchase status, and restoring purchases
  • Possible data: Purchase history, subscription status, identifiers linked to Apple ID or Google Account, and device information
  • Reference: RevenueCat Privacy Policy

Payments are processed by Apple or Google. Apple and Google privacy policies also apply.

#### (2) Ads (Google AdMob)

  • Purpose: Showing ads in the free plan
  • Possible data: Advertising identifiers, device information, and ad impression or click data. These may be used for ad personalization or measurement under Google's policies.
  • Reference: Google Privacy Policy, AdMob product policies

Ads are not shown while using the paid plan.

3. Retention

  • Data on your device: Kept until you uninstall the App or reset data inside the App.
  • Third-party services: RevenueCat and Google retention follows each provider's policy.

4. Sharing and disclosure

We do not sell your data or share it with third parties for marketing purposes, except in the following cases:

  • When disclosure is required by law or court order
  • When necessary to investigate or respond to violations of the App's terms
  • When processing is entrusted within the scope described in this policy or third-party policies, such as purchases and ads through RevenueCat, Apple, Google, or Google AdMob

5. Children's privacy

The App is designed for general use and is not primarily directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you are a parent or guardian and believe a child has provided personal information through the App, please contact us.

6. Your rights and choices

  • Deleting device data: You can delete schedules and settings saved in the App by using the data reset function.
  • Ad personalization: You can limit or reset identifiers used for ads through device settings.
  • Purchase data: Handling or deletion of purchase and subscription data follows the policies of RevenueCat, Apple, and Google. Please contact those providers or us as needed.

7. Security

We take reasonable security measures for data stored on your device and for communication with third-party services. However, no internet or mobile environment can be guaranteed to be completely secure.

8. Changes

We may update this policy. The updated policy takes effect when posted on this page or another public location such as GitHub Pages. For important changes, we will try to provide notice in the App or store release notes.
